January-March 2019 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Recent Months
In the last week of November, we received some disappointing news about Ezra. The urologist confirmed that Ezra’s bladder is not functioning correctly due to effects of having spina bifida. We were told that if this did not resolve itself by the spring that Ezra would have to be catheterized 4 times a day and be on a lifetime antibiotic. We were greatly shaken by this news but we trust the One who created our son and we know that He doeth all things well! That same day our chiropractor referred us to a functional neurologist in Marietta, Ga with high hopes that this doctor could help Ezra. Prior to seeing the new doctor, Ezra was unable to roll over, sit up by himself, crawl, drink water without aspirating, and he had difficulty swallowing anything other than baby food purée, so much difficulty that he would throw up multiple times per day. From the direction of the Lord and counsel from our pastor we decided to take Sis Chloé and the children off of the road so that Ezra could begin seeing the functional neurologist multiple times per week. Since the first week of December God has worked miracles with Ezra! He is now able to sit up by himself, roll over, army crawl, drink water, and eat some soft solid foods! Ezra is more alert and aware of his surroundings and his vocabulary is continuing to develop! God is so good! Please pray for Ezra to continue to make progress and for God to touch his bladder. Ezra’s next test on his bladder is April 23rd, we need a miracle.

Although the family has had to come off of the road, God still has me in evangelism and He is blessing it. It may not always be this way, but for right now God has us in this season.  God has blessed our meetings this year. Since January we have held meetings in six different states. We finish up the quarter at our home church’s Jubilee and  we praise the LORD for always strengthening and encouraging us at the meeting! Emeline turned 4 in February and she is continuing to grow and bless our hearts. God blessed my wife with a car in March. She had been borrowing vehicles and getting rides from others to take Ezra to the doctor while I was out on the road, the car was a huge answer to prayer! As of December we are at 50% support, please pray that God would continue to send in this much needed support.

Upcoming Meetings
During the month of April we are scheduled to be in two church revivals and two camp meetings. The month of May has us in three church revivals and the annual Hope Of Israel National Conference. In June we will be in a church revival in North Carolina and traveling out of the country for Gospel meetings. Please help us pray over these meetings! We desperately need the Lord’s touch as we minister in these dark days. What a joy to serve our Lord!

International Meetings
In the month of March we spent two weeks preaching under a Gospel tent on the island of Bequia in the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with Pastor Timothy Mitchell and Missionary David Ballinger. Bequia is a hard place spiritually and nothing happens fast but this year God gave a great harvest and we saw 13 precious people put their faith in Christ for salvation! Bless His holy name!Lord willing, two younger preachers and I will be traveling to the countries of Scotland and England in June for two separate Gospel meetings! Please pray for God to move greatly and for the $3,000 needed for this trip!

Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support for our family! We are thankful for what God is doing in these days and we count it an honor to serve our Lord! We are glad to have soldiers to walk along side with. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!

In Christ,
The Hewett’s
