July-September 2018 Prayer Letter

Dear Praying Friends and Supporters,

I Corinthians 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

In Recent Months
Our sweet Lord has been so very good to our family over this past quarter and we bless His name for it! In the last three months we have been in 10 churches, one youth camp, 3 tent meetings, all in four different states, Georgia, Tennessee, Indiana, and Minnesota. God allowed us to see 20 people saved in these different meetings! Praise His holy name!
On the home front God has also been good. Sis Chloe celebrated her 31st birthday on September 27th. Emeline got her first bicycle in July and is doing better on it each time she rides it. Ezra has also had a very eventful quarter. In August our little buddy got his first chair to help develop his posture and heloves it. In September we took Ezra in for a routine checkup with the neurosurgeon and found out that his shunt had somehow come completely out of his brain. The doctors were amazed that his brain was draining and he was seemingly fine. The next day Ezra underwent another surgery and has recovered well.
God has answered major prayers and supplied some major needs for our family in the last few months and we praise the LORD. In July a church gave us $5,000 to go towards the “Western Evangelism Trip.” In August we had a $1,300+ repair on our camper and within a week of it being fixed God sent in, almost to the dollar, of what we needed. Lastly in September we prayed at family altar one evening about our need for new camper tires; two days later I was contacted by a family saying that God had led them to buy us some tires! Let me tell you friends, my God is able to answer prayer! Bless His name!

Upcoming Church Meetings
Lord willing over the next three months we will be in 6 church meetings, two campmeetings, and preach somewhere each Sunday until the end of the year. We can’t wait to see what all the Lord will do in these meetings. Our family truly loves getting to serve God together and alongside each of you dear folks.

International Meetings
We’ve greatly enjoyed seeing God work this year in the “uttermost parts of the earth” as we’ve traveled and preached the glorious Gospel abroad! Since last November God has allowed us to travel through 8 different countries and preach in 4. He can truly take us farther than we could ever take ourselves. Lord willing, next year we will be preaching in the countries of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (twice), England, Scotland, Ireland, and Papua New Guinea. The Lord has raised great interest in these Gospel preaching trips and we look forward to many young people traveling along with us next year. Please pray for Ezra’s health so that he, and the rest of the family, will be able to travel with me outside of the country next year.

Tent Ministry
From the last week of July all the way to the third week of September our sweet Lord allowed our team of 3 families and 1 young preacher to be either knocking on doors for a tent meeting or to be under the tent preaching the Gospel! What a tremendous summer it was! We started out in Salem, IN with veteran Missionary/Church Planter Bro Bob Patenuade and the dear folks at the Washington County Baptist Tabernacle. We had the opportunity to knock on over 3,000 doors, literally every door in Salem, during the first week, and to preach under the tent across from the Walmart for two weeks. God was so gracious in saving 5 precious souls in Salem! From there we went to Appleton, MN for a week under the tent where we saw a dear 71 year old lady saved! Also in Appleton we enjoyed having our pastor Bro Ricky Gravley come and preach Thursday and Friday under the tent. After the Appleton meeting my family and I made a short stop in Watertown, SD to help with some outreach and sing in a meeting at the Harvest Baptist Church where Bro Lamar Whitemore is pastor. Once we were done out west we headed back south to my hometown of Dallas, GA to work with 4 local Baptist churches in an evangelistic tent meeting. We saw several saved during the two weeks under the tent and over 4,700 homes were reached with the Gospel. We are so thankful for a summer of sowing and reaping in the Lord’s Harvest! The Lord has so graciously allowed us to already book all of our tent meetings for next year and we are greatly anticipating being under the tent again next year.

Needs And Support
We praise the Lord for several new supporters over this past quarter. Unfortunately we’ve also lost some supoorters over the past few months due to unforeseen circumstances. Please pray that the Lord will continue to raise our support level as we do His work. If everything goes as planned we will have over 20 weeks of unfunded meetings either out west or over seas next year so our support is a major matter of prayer.

Specific Needs
1. Support
2. Ezra’s health
3. 1 ton, dually, diesel, 4×4, truck
4. Most importantly God’s hand on our family and ministry!
