January-March 2018

Dear Praying Friends and Supporters,

Philemon 1:4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers

In Recent Months

God has tremendously blessed our home and our ministry over the past several months and we bless His name for it! God has had Sis Chloé , Emeline, Ezra, and myself extremely busy during this last quarter.

We spent the first two weeks of the year preaching at the Milbank Baptist Church, Appleton Baptist Church, Elbow Lake Baptist Church, and Harvest Baptist, in Minnesota

and South Dakota with great help from our Lord. From the upper Mid West we went to North Carolina for the Love Valley Baptist Church Campmeeting. After campmeeting Pastor Will Allen and I flew to West New Britain, Papua New Guinea to preach for veteran missionary and friend Bro Ben Andrews. For a week we preached in Kimbe Town at the Bible Baptist Church twice a day and saw 13 precious souls saved, many prodigals returned, and experienced the amazing love of Christ in a way that’s hard to explain! If you would like to see pictures and watch videos from this trip you can find them here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.919082851732.1073741925.329100024&type=1&l=b4ea8941e2

Little turned 3 on February 18th!

Bro Chris turned 30th on February 7th!

Once back in the states we hit the road as a family again. In February we were at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Delta, Al, Corner Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Ga, preached our home churchs’ homecoming, as well as North Rockwood Baptist Church in Rockwood, Tn, Corinth Baptist Church in Cullman, Al, and finished out the month at Skyline Baptist Church in Adairsville, Ga.

During the month of March we were with the folks at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Wartburg, Tn and then I flew to Trinidad and Tobago for a Sunday meeting at Chin Chin Baptist Church. The next day I made it to Bequia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for a two week evangelistic tent meeting with my missionary friend Bro David Ballinger. The first week under the tent was extremely hard and there were many spiritual battles taking place. The Sunday between the two weeks I had the privilege of going to the main island to preach at Grace Baptist Church and the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Bro Alan Berry is the pastor there and he is a 40 year missionary! I can’t explain what an honor and blessing it was to meet Bro Berry and his dear wife. When I arrived back in Bequia on

Folks saved at the Bequia tent meeting!

Monday it seemed like God was moving more and more! During that second week God truly broke through and 10 precious folks repented and put their faith in Christ! Glory to God! Bro David and his family are coming home for furlough in May to have their 4th child and to raise some much needed support. If you would be interested in having this dear family in please contact me via email. Once I was back home we had the joy of attending our home church’(Bible Baptist in Rossville, GA) 20th Annual Jubilee! What a blessing it is to serve God in this day and to see Him doing a great work in this generation!

Upcoming Meetings

Lord willing in the next 3 months we will be in 7 church meetings, 2 campmeetings, several Sunday meetings, the Hope Of Israel National Conference (https://www.facebook.com/events/1600797319941383/?active_tab=about), and traveling outside the country for several meetings! Please pray for safety, provision, and most importantly the mighty touch of God on these meetings! If God doesn’t touch us we will just be talking! Blow Wind Blow!!

International Meetings

The last of June I will be taking a group of several young preachers to the country of Papua New Guinea for a two week trip. The last week of June we will be preaching a National Youth Meeting in Goroka, PNG where they are expecting around 2,000 young people under the tent each night. The first week of July we will be laboring in Port Moresby, PNG with Pastor Mindi and the folks at the Runway Baptist Church! Please pray for God to greatly touch and use us for His glory! I’m asking God to greatly touch these young men we are taking with us. Please help me pray for this and for the opportunity to take more young men to the foreign field in the future!

Over the last quarter the Lord has used His dear people to help us with our out of the country trip expenses and we praise Him and thank each of you for helping pay the way for the Gospel to go forth!

Tent Ministry

April 29th I will be preaching an area wide 5th Sunday Nightfellowship where most of the pastors involved in the West Georgia Tent Meeting in September will be attending. After service we will be having another preplanning meeting for the upcoming tent meeting in September. This meeting will be in my hometown and I’m greatly burdened for it. Please pray for wisdom, guidance, and the touch of God!

Lord willing we will be doing tent meetings in north Indiana, Minnesota, and South Dakota this August. May God continue to use this Gospel preaching ministry!

Needs And Support

We want to praise God for several more churches and individuals who have taken us on during the last quarter! This puts us around 43% of the amount of support we are trying to raise. We couldn’t do what we do without the love, prayers, and support of God’s dear people!

Specific Needs

  1. June/July Papua New Guinea Trip-$3,200
  2. Monthly Support
  3. Ezra as he progresses and develops physically
  4. Pray for a 1 Ton, diesel, dually, 4×4, truck for the family before our summer trip out west. The current vehicle which we use to pull our camper from week to week was purchased for the sole purpose of hauling the tent trailer during tent season. We are working to pay it off and put this truck into the tent ministry. The tent truck will be needed by the Davis family to pull the tent trailer to the meetings while we pull our camper/home with the 1 ton truck. This truck would become our everyday vehicle to haul our camper. We are putting a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on the tent truck and sister Chloé is unable to drive it. The 1 ton would also provide better fuel economy for our day to day traveling as well as four wheel drive, which comes in handy when trying to pull our home out of the mud!

Please help us pray over these needs! If you would like to give you can do so through our website at:

https://hewettsforrevival.com/give/

Or by mail at:

PO Box 5632

Fort Oglethorpe, Ga 30742

Please denote on the offering what the gift is for. More than anything, please lift us up in prayer! We want to do the Lords will!

Love In Christ,

The Hewetts
